A Day They Will Never Forget: GLIT Takes Children with Severe Disabilities to Victoria Falls

On the 13th of December, Green Light International Trust (GLIT) witnessed something truly powerful—children living with severe disabilities experiencing Victoria Falls for the first time.

For many of these children, life is defined by limitations others rarely see: restricted movement, constant medical care, and a world that often forgets to make space for them. Travel, adventure, and simple moments of freedom are usually out of reach.

But on this day, that changed.

As the mist rose from the Falls and the sound of rushing water filled the air, faces lit up with wonder. There were quiet smiles, wide eyes, moments of laughter, and deep emotional connections between children, caregivers, and volunteers. For a few precious hours, disability did not define them—joy did.

This trip was not about ticking a box or taking photos. It was about giving these children a sense of belonging, reminding them that they are not invisible, and proving that their lives are worthy of beautiful experiences.

At GLIT, we believe inclusion is not a privilege—it is a right. And this journey to Victoria Falls reaffirmed our commitment to creating spaces where every child, regardless of ability, feels seen, loved, and valued.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this moment possible. Together, we continue to create memories that restore hope and dignity—one child at a time.
